In a recent British Vogue interview, Priyanka was asked which Bollywood film she would recommend to people unfamiliar with Indian cinema. She said:
“My husband recommends Dil Dhadakne Do. Most of my friends who haven’t seen Bollywood love it, so it’s a good pick.”
Released in 2015, Dil Dhadakne Do is one of Priyanka’s most admired performances. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film stars Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor, and Shefali Shah.
The story follows the Mehra family on a Mediterranean cruise. Their journey leads to self-discovery and reconciliation. The film earned Rs 145 crore worldwide on a budget of Rs 58 crore, receiving critical acclaim and commercial success.
Priyanka and Nick Jonas: Family Life
Priyanka and Nick Jonas married in December 2018 at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur. They celebrated both Hindu and Christian traditions.
The couple welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, via surrogacy in January 2022, completing their family.
Priyanka’s Career and Upcoming Projects
Priyanka’s last Hindi film was The Sky Is Pink (2019), where she portrayed a mother facing loss and challenges. She has focused on global projects recently but is set to return to Indian cinema.
She will star in SS Rajamouli’s next film, SSMB29, alongside Mahesh Babu. The film is expected to finish production in 2026 and release worldwide in 2027.
