Pakistan Rejects False Claims
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has rejected recent claims made by Indian media about Pakistan’s stance on Israel and Gaza. The ministry clarified that reports suggesting Pakistan planned to send 20,000 troops to Gaza and had removed the “Not valid for Israel” clause from its passports are completely false and misleading.
The government described these reports as unverified and politically motivated, urging the public to rely only on official statements and verified updates.
Passport Clause Remains the Same
Officials confirmed that the passport clause remains unchanged and still clearly states: “Valid for all countries except Israel.”
The government reaffirmed that Pakistan’s position on Israel is unchanged — the country does not recognize Israel and has no military cooperation or discussions underway regarding such engagement.
Troop Decision Still Under Process
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif stated that the decision to send Pakistani troops as part of the Gaza peace force is still under process and has not yet been finalized. He explained that the government will take Parliament into confidence and ensure all relevant institutions are informed before any final move is made.
He added that if Muslim countries agree to participate in a peacekeeping mission, Pakistan would consider joining as a moment of pride to help protect Palestinian civilians.
Pakistan’s Firm Stance on Palestine
Pakistan continues to stand firmly with the Palestinian people and supports their right to an independent state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
